Lloyd Scott of Long Beach, California smashed al existing drag racing speed records with a sizzling 151.007 mph (11 seconds best elapsed time) at the second Annual World Series of Drag racing.
1940 Fords
Many racers had car clubs and 40' Fords in common! Here in 1956 is Darold Cutsinger's 1940 Ford coupe in front of the National Hot Rod Association's Drag (Safety) Safari trailer for the 1st Regional Finals in the Midwest held at the Oswego Dragway.
